Planes, trains and… concrete mixer trucks! That’s just a few of the vehicles adults and children had the opportunity to explore at the 2019 Salem Touch-A-Truck event at Green Hill Park in Salem this past Saturday, July 27th.

This is the eleventh year for the event, which is dedicated to letting children learn about and experience first-hand the many different types of transportation. This year, the event featured a wide variety of vehicles including motorcycles, police cars and fire trucks.

In that group, attendees also found mixer trucks from VRMCA-member Rockingham Redi-Mix!

Attendance topped 10,000 people who were able to take advantage of the free event and had the opportunity to check out more than 200 vehicles. The family-friendly event also featured delivery trucks, garbage trucks and bucket trucks. Other activities for the younger kids included a petting zoo, a fireman’s foam pit, a climbing wall, and a magician.
