PRODUCER MEMBERS are ready mixed concrete producers located within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

SUPPLIER MEMBERS are those who are engaged in the business of supplying materials, machinery, equipment, supplies and services necessary or useful to the preparation and production of ready mixed concrete.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

NETWORKING & COMMUNICATIONS
VRMCA provides an opportunity to network with others in the industry and to build relationships with customers and suppliers through our annual Spring and Fall Conventions.  As a member, you have access to industry updates and information through events, seminars, technical bulletins, e-blasts and committees that give you the opportunity to discuss your issues with experienced industry leaders.

ADVOCACY
VRMCA’s experienced lobbyists represent the industry before the Virginia General Assembly, state agencies and Virginia’s Congressional Delegation on matters that affect the ready mixed industry. VRMCA monitors new legislation, regulatory proposals and highway department policies on your behalf, and VRMCA provides reports during the General Assembly session that review each piece of relevant legislation.

PROMOTION
The Virginia Ready Mixed Concrete Association employs a Promotions Director who engages our industry partners – architects, engineers, general contractors and owners – to increase awareness and usage of ready mixed concrete within the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Promotions Director provides innovative and economical cast-in-place concrete building solutions, and educational information about concrete systems that compete with wood and/or steel frame systems.

VRMCA also supports Regional Chapters throughout the Commonwealth. These Chapters are comprised of members and suppliers who meet quarterly to promote the products of our industry, plan educational seminars, address industry issues, and develop social events with local members, engineers and architects. Their mission is to educate the building and design communities along with local policymakers on the benefits of ready mixed concrete and to encourage its use as the building material of choice.

TECHNICAL RESOURCES
VRMCA furnishes design and technical assistance through the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s Concrete Design Center. The Concrete Design Center was created to help owners, developers, architects, and engineers understand the benefits of building with concrete. It also helps guide and advise our industry partners on choosing the concrete solutions that best fit an individual project’s needs. The program utilizes a team of professional design experts to evaluate and assist with a submitted project, including structural and architectural design, cost estimating, life cycle assessment, code review, and sustainability and green building standards. This free program offers Design Assistance Programs (DAP) for building and paving projects.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
VRMCA is committed to providing quality educational programs for employees of ready mixed concrete companies, contractors and design firms. VRMCA identifies the educational needs of our industry partners and facilitates those opportunities through various sponsored and non-sponsored events. VRMCA also partners with the American Concrete Institute in Virginia. VRMCA offers training sessions and pre-certification examinations throughout the Commonwealth. Members are eligible for up to a 40% savings on these courses.  VRMCA also works closely with many of our larger state institutions of higher education. VRMCA supports these institutions financially by donations or raw materials, VRMCA also provides speakers for class and workshop participation.
