BIO

Tyler B. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University in 1993. He was hired by Rappahannock Concrete Corp in October of 1993. Rappahannock Concrete Corp. was a ready mix concrete producer as well as a full masonry supplier. The objective for Tyler’s career with the company was for him to learn the business from an entry level position, allowing him to learn every facet of the business operations. Over the next 15-16 years Tyler went from delivering small loads of masonry items with a 5 ton small dump truck, to acquiring a CDL and driving the tandem dump truck and mixers. He then moved to running plant operations and performing quality control. His next advance was achieving VDOT certification and learning to batch and dispatch the mixer trucks. In 1999 he became the manager of the Gloucester Plant of Rappahannock Concrete and also the head of outside sales for the concrete division and inside sales for the masonry division.   His promotions have since moved him to sales manager, and then General Manager of the ready mix division. He is currently vice president and general manager of the company’s concrete division over all. From 1993 to present, Rappahannock Concrete Corp has grown from 2 ready mix plant locations to 6 ready mix plant locations and Tyler Johnson has been an integral part of that growth process. He has been working in and learning this industry for 23 years and enjoys the opportunity to work with customers and fellow employees.
